Dr. Mritunjay Roy and Mrs. Kamala Roy of Bankura town made a registered ‘WILL AND TESTAMENT’ on 29th March 2004 expressing their desire to donate their entire property at Kenduadihi to Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Bankura for service to humanity in the field of health care and education. After the death of Dr. Roy, Mrs. Kamala Roy donated the entire property and the deed was executed in 2009. She also donated a big amount of money. Thereafter service-oriented work has been taken up by Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram, Bankura. A very big library has been set up having books of general education, Engineering, and Medical where students of nearby Educational Institutions get the advantage of reading books and get the daily meal with a nominal charge. Financial help as stipend is given to poor cum meritorious students. Coaching of the WBCS examination is given. One bookstall for sale has been set up with books of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission publications. One Ramakrishna temple with a prayer hall has been made. Construction of a very big building has been done to be used as educational purposes, and is named as “Centenary Building”. It is a matter of glory to mention that Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram, Bankura is on the verge of celebrating yearlong programs for centenary with various activities.
